Car Wash Tickets For Sale – only $5!

Carwash_LogosPlayers are selling tickets this week that are redeemable for one car wash at drive-thru car wash locations throughout the Puget Sound region. The tickets cost $5.00 each. This is a REALLY good deal because the a car wash at these outlets retails for $7.00 and it is a service we can all utilize. The tickets are good for a full year. There are six local car wash businesses participating:

There are more car wash locations around the Puget Sound so friends and family outside our area can help the effort too! Click here to view the full list.

This is OUR BIG program fundraiser. The OHS ASB volleyball allocated money generally pays for the basics: volleyballs, knee pads, replacement nets, etc. So, we raise funds for EVERYTHING else. Proceeds pay for things like:

  • Practice shirts and shorts
  • The game day shirts
  • New warm-ups
  • Help to pay for the new upright pole system
  • New iPad
  • Website fees

Checks can be made out to “OLYMPIA VOLLEYBALL ASB”. We are asking players to turn in their money by next Wednesday, September 21st.

If you want to buy a ticket or two to support the program email us and we’ll be in touch.

Parent/Player Meeting – August 30th, 2016

The Volleyball Parent/Player Meeting has been tentatively set for Tuesday, August 30th at 6:00pm, in the auxiliary gym. This is a required informational meeting where we will go over the Policies and Expectations and the program philosophy. We plan to share specifics about the volleyball program, answer questions and make staff introductions. Weʼll also collect orders/money for away match meals, fan wear, and conduct some booster club business. Please plan to have at least one parent /guardian at the meeting. Players will attend the meeting, as well, following practice. Players will have a short break after practice, so it would be wise for them to bring a snack.

Booster Club Business: Parents will have the chance to join the booster club, volunteer for odd jobs throughout the season and purchase Bear Wear Fan Apparel (Player “spirit pack” information will be separate). So, please mark your calendars and come ready to the meeting on August 30th with calendars and check books in hand! Click here to view the volunteer opportunities.

Our Olympia Volleyball Booster Club officers for the 2016 season are:
President: Heather Schwartz
Treasurer: Steve Drutz

Booster Club Planning Meeting for 2016 Season

Hard to believe it’s JUNE already!!  It’s that time of year to start planning, if you can believe it, for next season!  As always, our amazing volleyball program counts on as many parent volunteers as possible to help it run smoothly and lend support to our coaches.  I understand how truly busy people are this time of year, but please make every effort to attend so we can quickly go over important opportunities and information.

In years past, the meeting has been at 6pm to try to allow for people to get off work, so we’ll still go with that time on Wednesday June 8th. We will meet at OHS, either in the commons or in the music room.

For more information about the Volleyball Booster Club and the volunteer opportunities click here.
