Coach Creighton returns for her 32nd year as Head Coach for the Bear's Volleyball program. She sets high expectations both on and off the court and has established a tradition of excellence.

Laurie taught at Washington Middle School before moving to OHS in 1990. She is a graduate of Washington State University and currenty teaches "Fitness for Life" to freshmen at OHS. Last season at the State Tournament Laurie was inducted into the Washington State Volleyball Coaches Hall of Fame. Coach Creighton also received a lifetime achievement award from her alma mater.

The 2009 team represents the 18th time Coach Creighton has taken teams to the State Tournament. Of those teams, 11 have placed in the top 8 including: 2nd, two 3rds, 4th, 5th, three 6th (2008), 7th (2009) and an 8th place in 2005. The Bears won the AAA State Championship in 1998.

Coach Katie Turcotte rejoins the program after a successful year coaching the C-Team in 2007.

Coach Turcotte transferred from Rochester last year where she was slated to be the Varsity coach for their volleyball team. Coach Turcotte played collegiate volleyball at UNLV.

Christie Murphy

C-Team Coach

Former Bear standout Christie Murphy returns to Olympia to leat the 2009 C Team, bringing a passion for the game and strong technical skills.
