Capitol City Invitational Tournament

Cancer_AwarenessOlympia Volleyball is proud to host the Capitol City Invite this year on Saturday, October 10th. To raise Cancer Awareness, the players will be wearing t-shirts the color of the cancer that affects them during warm-ups. Families and friends are encouraged to participate by either ordering shirts (link below) or wearing a shirt of similar color. OHS volleyball players will also be raffling off three amazing gift baskets put together by each of Olympia Volleyball’s teams: Varsity, JV and C Team. Raffle tickets cost $1 each or 6 tickets for $5. Raffle drawing will be at 2:00 pm (must be present to win).

All proceeds for this event will go to the American Cancer Society. Two years ago, our supporters donated just over $2000. With your help, we can raise even more this year. Come watch some great volleyball and support the cause!

Matches will begin at 8:00 am. Admission is $6 for adults (and students without ASB cards) and $4 for students with ASB cards, youth 6 yrs through middle school, senior citizen and military (children 5 and under are free). We welcome teams from Capital, Bishop Blanchet, Black Hills, Bothell, Burlington-Edison, Ellensburg, Gig Harbor, North Kitsap, Puyallup, River Ridge, Sehome, Selah, Sequim, Timberline and Tumwater.

Outdoor Volleyball Opportunities

There are typically a number of possibilities for outdoor doubles play, plus a 4 on 4 outdoor league through Lacey Parks and Recreation. Doubles play is a great way to improve your court awareness and all around skill level. The most prominent of the local tournaments is during Lakefair.
